Style: Pale Ale

Brewery: Saranac

City: Utica

Color: deep amber

Aroma: caramel sweet slight hops

Taste: malt, caramel, biscuit? Slightly grainy

Finish: dry and clean

Verdict? Good combo of malty sweetness and bitter hops.


Beer: IPA

Style: India Pale ale


City: Utica, NY

Color: medium amber

Aroma: strong hops, light malty and caramel

Taste: good carbonation, bitter grapefruit from Cascade hops, slight caramel malt in background

Finish: bitter but crisp

Verdict: good solid example of IPA


Beer: Black Forest

Style: German Dark

Brewery: Saranac


Color: Deep brown and red almost black

Aroma: mineral slight hops earthy

Taste: mineral, dark caramel malty

Finish: slight bitter

Verdict? Pretty good. I like Beaver Creek Black lager better


Beer: Adirondack Lager

Style: Lager

Brewery: Saranac

City: Utica

Color: dark yellow

Aroma: fruity, slight hoppy, sweet malt

Taste: medium body, malty

Finish: dry crisp

Verdict? Good american lager.
